What does it mean to be an AIM member?

AIM members begin as Wholesale Members under Sponsors who are other Members of AIM. This costs $25 per year or is FREE if you purchase two of the major products (approx $88). Once you are a Wholesale Member, you can purchase AIM products direct from AIM. There are opportunities then to sell AIM products to your clients or to build a business around the AIM Business Opportunity?

Do I have to sell AIM products or build an AIM business?

No, the decision to sell AIM products or build an AIM business is entirely up to the Member.

What is a Sponsor?

A sponsor is another Member, usually the one who recommended the AIM products or the AIM Business Opportunity to you.  That person will receive Bonus Volume Points based on the purchases of the Members that they have sponsored.

What if I don’t have a Sponsor?

If you don’t have a Sponsor, AIM will refer you to one of our Elite Directors.  They have experience with AIM products and the AIM Business Opportunity and can guide you.

(For more information on the AIM Business Opportunity you may refer to the Business Opportunity page or contact AIM)

Is there a freight charge on my order?

Yes, but AIM helps out a little so that it only costs you $5.80.  Also,  on your first order freight is FREE.

When will I receive my order?

We ask our members to allow a delivery window of up to seven working days. Of course, depending on the delivery address, your parcel may well arrive in a much shorter time frame. However, once the parcel leaves our premises we have no control over the delivery time.

Is there any way to speed up the delivery?

Leaving clear delivery instructions with Lara or Anne at the start of placing each order will certainly assist in the delivery of your parcel. Unless you leave specific instructions (such as “leave at front door if not home”) the courier will not leave the parcel if the delivery address is unattended. Not leaving delivery instructions is the most common cause of delay in the delivery of parcels.

Will my parcel be delivered by courier or by Australia Post?

This will depend on the delivery address you provide to us. Where the address is located outside of our courier’s delivery network, your parcel will be sent by Australia Post.  Couriers cannot deliver to a Post Office Box.

How do I find out information on specific products?

We have some information on our website on the products page.  Also there are downloadable Fact Sheets for some of our products on the download page.  Otherwise you should contact your sponsor.   Alternatively, contact AIM by email or by phone on 1300 880 908.

How do I earn more money?

There are several ways to earn more money with the AIM business. First, commit yourself to sharing the AIM products with a certain number of people every day (more than you currently contact).  Second, commit yourself to helping those in your downline achieve the success for which they are looking for. Third, make the most of the Leadership Bonus Program. Since these bonuses have the potential to double your income, working toward receiving them will not only help you build your business, it will help you earn more money.

What is the best way to build? Should I personally sign up lots of people or should I sign up a few people under myself and place everyone else under them?

We recommend that you sign up under yourself people with whom you have personally worked. It is very important that new Members have personal contact with their sponsors. Experience has shown us that it is seldom effective to sign up new Members under sponsors whom they do not know. It’s more difficult to build strong relationships since there is often little motivation for wither the sponsor or the new Member to get to know each other and work together.

The exception to this recommendation is when a potential new Member has been contacted by yourself as well as someone in your downline. Then it is perfectly fine to let your downline Member sponsor that person.

What do people mean when they say we should build “wide and deep”?

Your AIM business is like a building. To grow rapidly, you must have a foundation wide enough to support the height of the building. When we talk about building “wide”, we are talking about the new Members you personally sponsor. They are called your first level. AIM’s compensation plan allows you to sign up as many people as you want on your first level. It’s not unusual to have 25, 40, even more people on your first level. A wide first level means that you business can grow rapidly even with each Member doing only a small amount.

Building deep involves encouraging your first level Members to sponsor new Members, who sponsor new Members, and so on, Building deep adds stability to you business because it expands the scope of your business beyond the people with whom you are personally acquainted. We suggest that sponsors work with their Members at least three levels deep. This means that you work with Members you personally sponsor, those your first-level Members sponsored, and those you second-level Members sponsor. If you do this, and teach your downline to do the same, each Member will have three upline sponsors helping them. It’s a tremendous support system and results in a stable, growing business.

Do I have to hold home meetings?

You are not required to hold home meetings and many Members do not. However, most Members who hold regular home meetings report that their businesses began to grow significantly when they began holding them at least once a month. Regular home meetings are a good way to develop consistency in reaching out to your community.

How do I find new people?

There are many ways to find new people. We suggest you read the 22 Ways to Build Your Business handout for ideas. Other ways of finding new people can be found in the Using and Sharing the AIM Products teleconference notes.  For a copy of these, contact aimaustralia@aimintl.com

How do I sponsor and train people who are far away?

Long-distance phone calls, letters and e-mail are ways many AIM Members work with their long-distance downline. You may also want to suggest AIM teleconferences to your downline who live far away. Teleconferences allow your downline to receive instruction you might give them if they were closer. Perhaps you could take a teleconference with your new Member. Then on your sponsoring calls, you can build from what was learned in the teleconference.

My Business is growing fast and it’s overwhelming. How do I train all the people who are signing up?

When you business is growing rapidly, you may find it impossible to train your new Members one at a time. Try holding regular training meetings for new Members. We suggest holding two different meetings. The first would focus on the needs of new Members whose motivations are to use the AIM products effectively and to purchase them at wholesale prices. The second would focus on the needs of Members who want to build an AIM business. Read Teaching Others to Do the Same teleconference notes for sample training agendas. For a copy of these, contact aimaustralia@aimintl.com

How can I be a good sponsor?

First, think of what your sponsor has done that has helped you. Second, think of what you wish your sponsor would do to help you. Do those things. Third, read through the Sponsoring Others, Building Strong Relationships and Teaching others to Do the Same teleconference notes for more information on how to be an effective sponsor. For a copy of these, contact aimaustralia@aimintl.com

How do I get people to use the products long enough to see a difference?

Two steps will help you here. First, educate them. That is, let them know that it will take a month to 90 days of regular use to feel a difference with certain products. Second, follow up. Call new customers within the first week to make sure that they are using the product and using it correctly. Also answer any questions or concerns they may have at that time. Call every week for the first month and you’ll find a larger number of your new customers using the product long enough to feel the difference.

How do I find leaders, that is, people who will really work at building their businesses?

The best way to find the leaders in your organisation is to build strong relationships with your Members and to get to know what’s important to each of them. As you do this, those who have the makings of leaders and the desire to lead will become obvious. Work with them.

If you are looking to “recruit” leaders, you may want to “prequalify” people you sign up. Ask them if they are willing to commit to putting ten to 20 hours per week into their business. Ask if they are interested in developing a home-based business at this time. Be honest but not pushy, and respect each person whether they are ready to be a leader or not.

Note: This does not mean you refuse to sign up a person who simply wants to purchase AIM products at wholesale prices. It just means that you will know people’s motivations before they sign up. This allows you to use your time more wisely.

How do I consistently communicate with my downline?

Regular follow-up using the system described in the Building Strong Relationships teleconference notes will be your best form of consistent communication. Many Members find the telephone their most effective follow-up tool, but you can also hold regular Member meetings, write a regular newsletter, use the Internet and establish e-mail communication. This is a great era for communication!

How do I deal with competition?

Competition is always a challenge. Your best defence against competition is to provide unbeatable service to your customers and downline. Unbeatable service coupled with top-quality AIM products will go a long was toward overcoming the competition. Most of the competition comes from newer companies. AIM’s long history of stability and over 21 years of testimony to great results make AIM shine. Most important, if someone leaves you to try the competition, leave the door open for them to return when they realise that the AIM products, service, and stability are what they want.

How do I motivate others and keep people focused?

The best thing you can do to motivate others is to find out what is important to them and help them see a way to achieve it. To keep them focused, help them remember what is important to them and how they are going to achieve that. Again, follow-up plays an important role here. Regular contact helps you not only see how the people are doing but also helps you point them back to their focus.

How do I manage my time?

In a nutshell, take the time to sit down and decide what is most important to you in life and make a list. Coaching expert Cheryl Richardson calls this your “Absolute Yes” list. This is a list of the activities and accomplishments that are most important to you. Then evaluate every demand on your time to determine whether it will contribute to anything on your “Absolute Yes” list. If it doesn’t lead you in the direction of absolute yes, say “no”. John Kalench, author of Being the Best You Can Be in MLM, says that his life goal is to have a million friends, so his decisions are easy. If doing something will lead to his goal to have a million friends, he does it; if it won’t, he says “no”.
